ATHENS — Georgia always knew KJ Bolden was an important piece to the defense.

There were many disappointing things about this game, but for me, Riddle's play was the most disappointing. We all know how good K.J. Bolden is, but there shouldn't be that much of a drop-off. Riddle looked like a freshman who didn't know what he was doing out there, not a transfer who's played D-1 football. It's hard to believe Branch or Jones wouldn't have been better. I know the safety position is always a focus for KS, and I don't understand how they didn't have someone ready to step in for Bolden.
This bodes very bad for next year when he is gone. I think most or all of the 5 stars we got before NIL will be gone. I will never get over how we lost on Saturday, but I have moved on. This may be our last elite team for a championship run, so Kirby has the to fix the ship.
KJ was noticeable? How about the Auburn QB run up the middle that they did like 20 times, and we stayed in a base 4 front, daring him to throw - which he showed very little ability to do. He ran great. We didn't adjust to that for three quarters.
I am still so burned about the Auburn disaster! We have no KJ Bolden back-up!!! Not only that, but Georgia looked disjointed out there a lot of the time? No synchrony! Gunner was on then off then on and finally fumbled badly running into Drew Bobo….? Their QB Brown ran all over UGA's defense! This happens so much with a good running QB against Georgia?! I see little light at the end of this season's tunnel. Teams are wise to Georgia's major weakness….RPO QBs.
I’m thinking Stockton likely had a mild concussion and play was affected by it. Could be wrong but his play was cloudy at best.
Okay so KJ Bolden was not ready to play…. Riddle actually did pretty well considering his lack of playing time..
My Question is: Why did Defensive back Kyron Jones not play at all in the 27-24 loss?
He has been around the system in a while so he should be able to add value…..
Just don't understand…..
Maybe Riddle did some good things that my untrained eyes simply didn’t see from where I was watching, but I thought he was a disaster, and was wondering about Kyron Jones the entire second half…
