Does memory serve me wrong here?
A couple or so years ago, the year after our 2nd National Championship (of the two which were back to back) weren't the Dawgs ranked #1? Hadn't they been #1 for a long time? Most of the season? Didn't they lose the SECCG by a small margin, something like 3 points, in a highly competitive game? Weren't the Dawgs then bumped down from #1 to #5 or #6 so that they were eliminated from the four team playoff? Didn't this happen?
We probably would have won a third in row Nattional Championship, right?
Would Alabama - had they been in the exact same situation the Dawgs were in - have suffered the same fate? Answer: You're kidding.
Notre Dame? Oh, I forgot, they don't play a conference championship game.
The system is biased, subjective at best, based on whimsical and capricious rules unequally applied, and perhaps corrupt.
But, the system can be beat. Win every game, that's the secret. Go, Dawgs!
The Dawgs would have at least 3 more Natty's....if not for the crooked Polling System....and "Faulty Computer Analytics" once used to find the Best. Or name a Champion, should I say. All that stuff is based on National Media perception and hyperbole. Not FOOTBALL!
For decades....DIV1 CFB relied on a Beauty Pageant Style of finding a Champion. And...if anything has proven true over the years...Pageants are easy to "put on the fix" and manipulate....Lol....cause humans are involved in the decision. Not rules & a field & a football....which, imo...is all that really matters.
Now....it's settled on the field, for the most part. It ain't perfect, cause human mis-perceptions & mis-conceptions....produce Mis-information that result in controversy. Bad input...nonsensical output. Simple as that...imo.
That said....I'll take what we have now...over what we had. The Dawgs are on an equal playing field for the most part. They don't get the OSU/Bama/TEX Hype....but, they don't need it now. Not with Kirby steering the ship. They're all playing catchup.
Btw....what do you think about the fact, Michigan was "ushered" into the Championship, before Harbaugh moved on....then....the very next year....OSU got their turn. That's fishy as he'll to me. Especially with the '23 CFP Committee decision to leave out two of the mod deserving...AND....Best teams in CFB....UGA & FSU.
Had they left FSU alone...Norvell could've overcome the loss of "a quarterback"....with a month before the next game to plan. Once they curiously left FSU & UGA out for dubious reasons....imo. FSU disintegrated.....while UGA got stronger.
Who the hell are they, to cheat those boys out of a chance to compete.
The other 84 Players on FSU's '23 Team deserved their shot...they earned it. Denying FSU and UGA to get what they "earned" was outright un-American in my book. Which tells me who may have had a hand in that whole business.
Lolol.....MICH & OSU in back-to-back years....and NOBODY in the Media is curious?! Oh yeah....they're the facilitators. Forgot....Nobody is missing the store. And...I mean NOBODY!
