The CFP Selection Committee released its first set of rankings in an order that indicates strength of schedule could have more pull than won-loss records in some cases.

Beautiful seeing no Ohio State in the top 12. Have to savor those moments. Also ND at 11 is awesome. And UCLA has literally played no one so good for the committee keeping them low.
"Notre Dame (7-1) is another traditional powerhouse that will see its No. 11-rank scrutinized."
ND has the remainder of this week for their No.11- rank to be "scrutinized" because they will be exposed this weekend by Miami. Once they have been properly dispatched, it should open up a spot in the CFP rankings for a team that actually deserves to be there. Be prepared to hear the ND Sports Network, otherwise known as ESPN, make the case that being beaten by the No.1 team in the nation shouldn't count toward their CFP ranking.
Yeah, and Bama has not beaten anyone. Don't start with that Kentucky B.S., they barely beat Vandy and will be exposed soon enough. I am so tired of seeing those inbred morons getting every benefit of the doubt because that little $#!& head Saban used to be the coach over there. That being said I would love another shot at them on a neutral field. Three wins against them in 12 months time would be glorious!
Well, this ranking was a head-turner for many reasons, but at least a CFP Committee FINALLY started ranking Notre Dame correctly. Also, I am glad SOS is finally getting some overdue respect.
Don't get too caught up in the ranking weeds at this point. Most of the ??? will be sorted out over the next few weeks.
Putting ND 11th shocked me! It also pleased me. Now, if SOS is really that important, there’s no way Miami is a UNANIMOUS #1. Who have they played? UNC? Really?
Only one thing important right now: Dawgs gotta beat Ole Miss! As always, I’m worried about this week’s game. Go Dawgs!
