Plenty of good memories under Coach but I enjoyed when the number 1 Vols came in and left with a loss .
As far as start to finish goes…yeah it's hard to find a better start to finish than the TCU game, especially considering the stage. In the regular season though, I'd vote for the Oregon game as well. Oregon finished that season in the top 15.
Have to echo this sentiment…… I was at the game as well and it was the second loudest game I have ever been to and definitely one of the most satisfying wins. (The loudest was the UGA v. LSU 2013 game in Athens featuring the Murray v. Mettenburger offensive duel which we won 44-41!)
Everyone had picked Tennersee to win……. The AP poll had us at #1 and the CFP had Tennersee at #!……Our home crowd had been called out nationally by the talking heads and some fool from Tennersee (whose name I cannot remember—Ainge, maybe?) so, we had something to prove…..Tennersee never had a chance …. the crowd hit 130 dbs at one point and when it started raining after halftime, the crowd only got louder! Nobody left and it was beautful!
We caused numerous false starts and just simply dominated the Vols …. a total and complete beatdown of a most hated rival!
