There is a couple unconfirmed rumors here...

First one is that the young WRs incoming weren't starting to get comfortable with the plays until after the 2nd bye. For future reference, they were summer entrees. Two of the WRs that will come in this year are early enrollees (although I feel Robinson is raw given classification).

Second one is that Coley had to spend too much time with the WRs because Hankton wasn't effective.

In retrospect, although I wasn't loud here on this opinion, I never felt we were going to see the Tyler Simmons breakout that I remember others were saying was oh so possible. There was enough information there, despite his tantalizing speed and physical ability that's been raved about, to say that he was going to remain a bit player. So, a lot was going to ride on if the light turned on for Matt Landers, who had the body type and traits this team falls in love with at WR. There may have been a few inaccurate passes to him, but it's fair to say the light didn't turn on for him.

Beyond that, at the WR position, you only had 2 guys that are veterans of college football then. And one of them simply doesn't fit what Fromm is strong at, although I think he was miscast in the slot as well.

" Robinson is raw given the classification?" What does that mean if you dont mind explaining
