Re: WATCH: First look at new Georgia quarterback JT Daniels from Hutson Mason
I've watched all the tape on these guys. Beside Newman the QB who best looks the part of a prototypical pro QB is Carson Beck. He makes all the throws, 6' 4" Great touch though on all his deep throws. Can scramble(more athletic than Jake) . But not a true duel threat. Some on here have likened Daniels to Jake Fromm "2.0" .… -
Re: Georgia coach Kirby Smart updates D'Andre Swift status: 'Banged up, it's tough'
After reading this, now I kind of blame Kirby for Swift's injury after all. He says that Swift got hurt earlier in the game (I think it was when he got hit on his first fumble) and his shoulder continued to get progressively worse as the game wore on and moreover, he's actually been hurt most of the season. So, then, with… -
Re: Georgia football replaces Oklahoma with Ball State for 2023 schedule
I agree with @DallasDawg in that UGA knew as soon as the destroyers of conferences (SWC, Big 8, Big 12) were joining the SEC it was obvious that those games would never be played. So they had an entire year to make contingency plans. It is also not at all the SEC office's fault that UGA's 4 SEC home opponents in 2023… -
Re: Dawgs’ historic run not derailed by another slow start
The Good: second half defense physicality and play Pod’s consistency and excellence in not taking any plays off Punters average distance McIntosh was truly amazing in all aspects Offensive line pass-pro #19 & #0 hands The Bad: Clearly sleep walking first half Monken’s play selection for the 3rd game in a row and 5th this… -
Re: Kenny McIntosh embodies Georgia football offensive approach in Oregon debut: ‘It was real fun’
Dawgs looked Great !! KMac looked Great !! Stets looked Great !! Team looked Great !! Look the vast majority of “experts” had said this Could be the Dawgs toughest game of the season and Most Assuredly the toughest of the early in the season games for the Dawgs. Yet the Dawgs devastated them !! And pulled Stets out late… -
Re: A complete history of Georgia football 5-star transfers under Kirby Smart
Pretty good take on Fields and the QB position. It isn't all about throwing the ball 60-70 yds. Johnny Unitas was one of the best QB's that ever lived and he didn't do it as a gunslinger, but, as a leader in the huddle with a relentless determination to win...oh, and he could throw the ball in tight windows. There were… -
Re: Georgia football offensive future in flux with Todd Monken pondering next move
This type of hatchet job on Monken makes no sense. Monken is from the midwest. He went to a small college in Illinois, and his coaching career started at Notre Dame (GA) and at small colleges in Michigan. Went from there to schools in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Mississippi and then NFL jobs in Florida and back to the midwest… -
Re: It's still early.....but it seem like the Patriots past success has more to do with...
Unless one of Brady or Belichick finish their career SIGNIFICANTLY better than the other, this will turn into a MJ/Lebron type of debate. The way I look at it, Belichick is addicted to football and winning and has taught himself how to win in the National Football League better than any other coach in history. I think so… -
Re: Georgia football report card: Bulldogs’ 10-3 win over Clemson passes test on national stage
Odd ratings. QB: "B-" I guess. I mean, both Clemson and Georgia had pretty darn good defenses. Without a star Receiver, he couldn't have gotten it far RB: "B" I think they deserved at least a B+ here. They powered for numerous 4+ yard gains against a very tough Clemson front Receivers: "D" Ouch. You were acting like they… -
Re: The reason Kirby Smart hasn't led Georgia football to a national title is ...
Although I do think your points are valid to an extent, I do think these are still mostly excuses since they happen to all teams. All teams have injuries, and all teams get bad calls on them. It's how you respond to those things and adjust that can determine outcomes. And most of the time, a team will come into the season…
