Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
I agree. Summer sunshine can strengthen our immune systems by raising our vitamin D levels. Heat, humidity, and winter sunshine north of about the Carolinas, not so much. As a comparison, NY and FL have close to the same populations, with FL having a couple of million more. FL has a much higher number and percentage of 65+… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
I agree, there is so much unknown. It makes it very frustrating. My parents both tested positive for Covid-19 a couple weeks ago. It took a full week to get the results in Washington state. In their case it wasnt a big deal because they were clearly sick and did end up testing positive, but for someone waiting on test… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
Earlier this week I mentioned my brother getting tested and waiting for results... As a recap, he started having symptoms Monday 7/6, was tested Thursday 7/9, and as of today 7/19 is still awaiting his test results (Atlanta area). He's been symptom free for a week now, and fortunately he's been cleared to return to work… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
The exponential spread can also be challenged by herd immunity. Sweden didn't mandate masks and they didn't lock down. The virus ramped to a point and then it appears to have hit the HIT (herd immunity threshold). The article I linked yesterday had an elaborate and lengthy discussion on the subject. If it wasn't HIT, it… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
10 states and US update for the first 2 weeks of July on testing and Cases CPD - Cases Per Day; TPD - Tests Per Day. Those in orange are based on average for June 18-30 as I didn't have detailed test data for those states before June 17th. The Cases were changed to cover the same date range to compare apples with apples.… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
New records in Mississippi today I live in Harrison County and we had 69 new cases. Deaths were down with 3 reported but that is because of the weekend........ From the Sun Herald: The week begins with a record number of corona virus cases in the state, including a new single-day record in South Mississippi, and record… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
This is a great example to discuss (for critical thinkers). Just so everybody can follow the argument (it isn't that easy). The study enrolled 821 people who were suspected of being exposed to CV. The objective was to determine whether HCQ would prevent or minimize the disease if given early after exposure (w/i four days).… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
With all due respect, sir. Nope. Here is your projection for July. Don’t start playing funny business with your numbers on us. We have enough trouble with the inconsistencies out of FDOH. The below post was from July 14th. (Quote) It is extremely misleading to look at the raw Deaths/Cases to draw a conclusion on fatality… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in 2.0
Yale, one more thought related to my post above. A lot of folks aren't familiar with D levels. There is even disagreement in the medical world as to adequacy. There are a lot of doctors and scientists, who are vitamin D experts, who advocate much higher levels (say 40-80 ng/ml). But, many doctors are happy with the…
