Re: Georgia brings âintrinsic motivationâ to New Orleans, Sugar Bowl edge
I think this game for the dawgs "lives or dies" based on how the Georgia defense operates. If they are the same unit that faced Bama in the SECCG, they will shut down the run of the Ole Miss QB and RBs and force the QB to win with his arm. He is an excellent passer, but I don't think the creative pass rush that coach Schu has created over the past couple of games will allow him much time to be successful. The Georgia offense will be instrumental in working clock and I think Stockton will have a "do or die" attitude that will match his best performance of the year when these two teams faced off earlier in the year. Dawgs by 2 TDS!

garbage in, garbage out - you wouldn’t know what football was if it were to hit you upside the head.
you do try though, don’t give up.

Re: Georgia football practice report: Colbie Young among those making his return
I gotta say....I haven't seen any evidence that he "doesn't have an NFL arm"......Yet.
I remember some similar statements about Bennett that were exaggerated. He's still in the NFL as a quarterback.
Like Bobo said....Stockton hasn't touched the ceiling yet. Give it time. These kids are in college, still learning and growing.
Imo....The Stockton we saw during the season won't be the same Stockton that plays in the CFP. It's a different game, now....with higher stakes. I expect he's gonna dazzle a few fans....in the Semi Finals.
I expect Kieby will try to turn the Ole Miss game, into a defensive battle. Not much scoring. Save that, for OSU or Miami. Lol
Saying Hello
Dawg fan since my dad cheered Tech in my youth. Followed through my six years in the US Navy chasing Russians across the Mediterranean as I could and through my Mechanical Engineering Degree at night school in Marietta Georgia and throughout the next 45 years at the Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta but still always a Dawg.
Love the current Teams and ecstatic since Coach Smart came aboard. What a gem we have!

Re: 5 Sugar Bowl questions about Ole Miss with Rebels insider Neal McCready
There were zero turnovers by either team in the first meeting.
Dawgs held the ball over 15 minutes more than the Rebels and the Dawgs ran for 221 yards.
If the Rebels can reverse that trend, be able to score points, then they certainly have a decent chance to win. Dawgs need to be able to slow down Kewan Lacy and limit their run game like they were able to do in the 1st meeting. The fact that Ole Miss didn't score any points in 4Q is a big key for their loss while the Dawgs scored 17 points and won.
Time of possession has been a key factor in the Dawg's offensive surge against the better opponents. Against Ole Miss - more than 15 minutes longer; Against Texas - over 11 minutes longer; Against GT - over 10 minutes longer; Against Bama (2nd time) - over 13 minutes longer.
When we lost to Bama at the end of September, Bama held the ball 11 minutes longer than the Dawgs, yet total yards for the entire game for both teams was only a 40 yard difference.
