Re: Kirby Smart shares how this key Gunner Stockton trait will help Georgia in 2026
But the same thing can easily be said about the WRs of 2025 with except Maybe Branch. And Even Branch could have been a question mark in preseason as just because he did pretty well at USC didn’t mean he’d absolutely have similar or better success at UGA.
Some players are replaced Every year. There’s no need in my view to think that players like Canion can’t be coached up. And we’ve not even seen a decent showing of T. Taylor due to his way early injury. My point is we can ALL speculate in a positive or negative view. But None of us will know for sure what we have Until the Dawgs have faced a couple of games against reasonably decent competition. The cupcake games won’t tell us a whole lot either way.
Hate to continue to beat this dead horse to pieces. But Even though the Dawgs didn’t advance deeper into the playoffs. They Far exceeded numerous Dawgs fans And media expectations. So to me it boils down to first the Coaches then the players executing at an elite level what they’ve been trained.
So we again in my view reach a place where ask Can we trust the coaches to get the players better Yes or No ? Branch had a considerably better season at UGA than he did at USC. So one would think that the coaches Can do that. And Gunner as a First Year Starter did in fact improve considerably. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t need to improve More. As of course he does !! The whole team does !! So No it’s not a bad thing to acknowledge that there Are question marks Even problems.
You @reddawg1 and others are certainly not wrong or silly for pointing out problems And asking questions. But I don’t think I’m naive or ignorant about the Dawgs for Believing they Can improve. I Know one thing for sure their gonna get after it Hard in pursuit of being better. That much I’m confident of !! Go Dawgs !!

Re: Mike White contract extension includes raise to $3.91 million, annual increase
Did you expect them to win if he had played? He wouldn’t have made any difference. Georgia still would have lost.
Re: Mike White contract extension includes raise to $3.91 million, annual increase
And the 1st game after the raise, UGA gets embarrassed on its home court by Whites former team..

Re: Mike White contract extension includes raise to $3.91 million, annual increase
I’m so tired of the “who are going to find better” loser mentality. Kirby came here and demanded, yes demanded, how we do things. Got an actual indoor practice facility and many other improvements. State of the art weight room facility. We CAN be a basketball school as well. The fan support is there if a good product is put on the floor. Mike White ain’t it. He’s another Mark Richt, too passive to get things done! Go Dawgs!
Re: Mike White contract extension includes raise to $3.91 million, annual increase
How does this raise look now after another blow out loss to his former team?
Re: Mike White contract extension includes raise to $3.91 million, annual increase
Georgia playing Florida tonight again looking like warmed over c-r-a-p! Two teams with identical 17-6 records. The Gators are 8-2 in conference and we’re 5-5. We feasted on a weak OOC schedule and wilt when we play real competition. Mike White is NOT an SEC caliber coach! Go Dawgs!
Re: Getting the yard ready for spring and summer!
I tried to figure out this riddle for 5-7 years , broke my back and wasted a good deal of money. Finally had a tree expert come out I.D, 5-7 big trees that had issues . Took those out and now I have a decent sized garden and get back from the work I put in. Plus now that I retired I enjoy it more.

Re: Mike White contract extension includes raise to $3.91 million, annual increase
This is what under 4M a year gets you at UCLA for the first 4 years
Mick Cronin, UCLA – $4.1 million
Mick Cronin has only been stewarding the UCLA Bruins since 2019, but in that time, he’s had the Bruins in serious and consistent contention for the NCAA tournament championship. In 2021, he led the Bruins to their first Final Four berth since 2008. In 2023, they entered the tournament with the No. 2 seed, their highest seeding since 2008. As a result, UCLA locked Cronin into a six-year contract that’ll make him Bruins head coach until 2028.

Re: Mike White contract extension includes raise to $3.91 million, annual increase
The only time CKS "demanded" anything was BEFORE he was hired. Had UGA NOT given in to CKS's pre-hire demands CKS would be coaching another team. That was when CKS had his most leverage. CKS has not "demanded" anything since then nor has he gotten some of the things he has really wanted. CKS doesn't want to play in Jacksonville every year and lose a prime recruiting weekend. Yet here UGA is still signed to play every year in Jacksonville once the Gator Bowl is renovated. CKS has been pretty meek about his "demand" to see the UGA/FU game come back to Athens.
"We CAN be a basketball school as well". Can be and is are 2 different things. UGA is a football school. UGA is NOT a bball school. That is clear based on the commitment we see to the football program compared to the bball program. The commitment is not there. MAYBE if all the dissatisfied UGA basketball fans dug deep and contributed to the UGA basketball NIL collective we could all make a difference? Oh wait, there is no UGA BASKETBALL NIL collective.
Again, who are you going to get that is better than Mike White that will take a 2nd rate program with a lack of commitment from its own school?
@Gramster UCLA got Cronin for $4M/yr. What makes you think he would come to UGA for that or that you can find someone else as good that will come to UGA now for that? UGA has shown it is not making the commitment to building the program both in facilities and NIL. Cronin is not making $4M/yr now. More like $6M/yr with incentives. UCLA basketball is not UGA basketball.
BTW, UCLA's '21 final 4 team had 3 guys currently playing in the NBA, 2 currently playing pro in the G league and 2 currently playing pro overseas.
As for Cronin and UCLA, 15-7 so far this year. Failed to make the NCAA tourney in '23/'24 and knocked out of the tourney in '24/'25 after winning 1 game. Cronin's finishes have been in steady decline since that '21 high water mark.
@SickemDawgs24 @David1 I did not see the UGA/FU game tonight but I saw somewhere that UGA's leading scorer did not play. Playing a higher ranked team w/o your leading scorer, what did you expect?
