Re: Georgia stands among SEC basketball giants, seeks history vs. Auburn
After the Wednesday night shellacking in Knoxville, I would tone down the "Standing Among Giants" rhetoric, at least until we see what happens today. No doubt, Georgia is greatly improved and is moving in the right direction.
Re: What Todd Hartley combs the nation for shows why his TE room is the best in college football
Great tight end room, but what's the point if the tight ends are rarely used. Delp make a few good catches during the year, but it was just a piddling of what he could have done. That again, is Bobo's fault. He needs to go.
Re: Trevor Etienne, Carson Beck latest examples of roster management challenges
Because of all these challenges and more, the Dawgs are on a solid glide path to mediocrity. It's no one's fault … just the reality of NCAA sports in today's world. This new reality is, however, pushing me ever closer to really not caring any more and just becoming a passive fan. Unless and until structured deals with minimum commitment time requirements are implemented, it will be annualized chaos brought to you by the NCAA.
"Commit to the G" is beginning to ring very hollow, as fewer and fewer really will."
I agree with several comments that HCKS will finish his contract and declare himself "done". So somewhere between 2028 and 2033, he will be gone. Enjoy while you can because the product will continue to deteriorate and decline. That is just the reality of today's business environment. Fewer and fewer athletes will sign with, play for and graduate from their original choice.

Re: Auburn’s Bruce Pearl gives hot take on Georgia basketball culture after 70-68 escape
This is a game we would have lost by 30 two years ago. Coach White has us trending in the right direction. 9 for 20 from the line definitely needs to improve, but our Dawgs have shown they can play with anybody. For the first time in forever, I feel good about making the tournament and with a little seeding luck, possibly the sweet sixteen. Tough loss, but it was against #1. Ceiling is high for these guys. Go Dawgs.
Re: Georgia basketball falls 70-68 to No. 1 Auburn, snaps 13-game home win streak
Totally agree that they're fun to watch, and it's fun to see the ongoing improvement.
One small disagreement: UGA is actually not a bad FT team (just was bad today). But we are bad at shooting threes — 11th in the league in percentage and 14th in number of treys per game. This was supposed to be one of Blue Cain's strengths, but he's hitting only 28.6 percent.
I'll ditto on you're "handling pressure" observation. We seem to get rattled by the intensity of opponents that are more experienced at high stakes games — Auburn's runs in this today and the entire second half at Tennessee).
Re: Georgia basketball falls 70-68 to No. 1 Auburn, snaps 13-game home win streak
#1 Auburn got lucky to beat the DAWGS. They had a chance to tie it at the buzzer but fell short, this after being down 16 early in the 1st half. Missed Free Throws doomed the DAWGS..9/20 from the stripe doesn't help win games. Make half of those misses, and you win..GoDAWGS!

Re: Why Ohio State was able to beat out Georgia to land star safety Caleb Downs
Indeed, it was that ole god named Denaro that whispered into Calebs ear that lead him first to Bama and then to Bucknut country. Indeed, Caleb is a blessed young man with GOD given talents and I wish him well…..though I'm rooting for The Mighty Virgin…Caleb has another year before ole Denaro leads him to the fertile promised land of the NFL……Indeed, Caleb's greatest accomplishment is to place Hoschton on the map like Chateau Elan brought notice to Braselton.
