Re: Jake Fromm reveals where Gunner Stockton can improve most before 2026 season
if true - don't let the door hit him in the a**. the NIL has taken most all of the fun/love out of the game for me. it's become the "wild wild west". if he doesn't want to be at UGA, he can go, plenty more RB out there, especially HS. certainly don't want a player that doesn't want to be there.
at this point, I would be happy to see colleges stand together and refuse this NIL model bs - walk away and tell the pros they can pay/have them -plus all the overhead and to find their own venue…call their bluff. pretty sure the pros want NONE of it, besides they still have a rule you have to be 3 years removed from college before they can draft you…unlike baseball.
just about ready for walk-ons & scholarship players who play for the love of the game & school…take the ball back and start all over, pretty dang sure the fans will still be there - and so will the players.
guessing the only problem is - is the legality of it all.

Re: Jake Fromm reveals where Gunner Stockton can improve most before 2026 season
The defense next year for Georgia is gonna be championship caliber on all three levels. Gonna be our best defensive line since the 2 nattys. Might be our fastest LB group. Put Ridley at the Star and then Barnes and Bolden on the back end. Frazier is gonna be one of the top backs. Somewhere along the midway point last year his whole game changed and he started breaking tackles and falling forward every run.
I got a guy for Indiana. How in the world Damien Henderson from Creekside ain’t going to a power 4 school I don’t know. When I watch a highlight video and their first five highlights are punt returns for TDs, I got to look into that. I don’t care if he’s playing 8 man church league football. That’s 4A in Ga on the south side of Atlanta. Most of those teams are like 4x100 teams. Speed at every skill position. Those State Championships in GA, talent everywhere but no offers. What’s going on. The SEC chasing stars and transfer portal guys now. I know the Big ten without a doubt in my mind has the best overall coaching. They could build 3 playoff teams with the talent in this state.

Off Topic: Hearing a report per Rusty Mansell that RB Nate Frazier hasn't signed anything yet. There's also reported talk of Ohio State entering the conversation. Not good.

Re: BREAKING: Speedy 3-star WR Dallas Dickerson commits to Georgia football
@Beachwagon Huh? Jake Fromm was a 5 star by 2 of the 3 recruiting services, and even the one that had him as a 4 star had him as the #51 player nationally, the #5 player in the state of Georgia and the #2 pro style QB. Fromm took UGA to 3 consecutive SEC championship games. His bad 2019 season was thanks to the WR talent falling off the map when Mecole Hardman, Riley Ridley and Isaac Nauta left early for the NFL, Terry Godwin graduated and Smart whiffed on Vidal Hazelton and a bunch of other WR prospects the prior 2 years because they didn't like the offense. (Neither did Godwin, or at least Godwin's mother. Neither did Ridley and Nauta, which is why they left early.) Even there, had Lawrence Cager not gotten injured, UGA goes 13-1 and gets that 4th playoff spot instead of hapless Oklahoma.
And … D.J. Shockley won 1 of the 2 SEC championships under Mark Richt. Did so with one of the weakest supporting casts ever to win the SECCG too … Thomas Brown and Danny Ware were the leading RBs with barely 1200 yards combined and Shockley actually led the team in rushing TDs. The best WRs were TE Leonard Pope, Bryan McClendon and a true freshman Mohamed Massaquoi with no one reaching 600 yards. The OL was spotty too. During the 1 year that he got a chance to play, Shockley didn't have anywhere near the talent around him that the better David Greene, Matt Stafford or Aaron Murray teams did, yet he beat an absolutely loaded LSU team that sent a ton of guys to the draft.
So that's 3 guys (at least) from a program that doesn't exactly have a track record of recruiting blue chip QBs in the first place. Georgia has never been like FSU and Miami in the 80s and 90s, Florida under Spurrier and Meyer, Oklahoma under Stoops and Riley, Ohio State now and USC for ages that stocks up 5 star QBs every year. Landing 5 star QBs, especially those not from Georgia, is going to be a challenge until UGA QBs start putting up bigger numbers and getting drafted high by the NFL. And that isn't going to happen until UGA gets back to embracing an offense where QBs regularly throw downfield.
Re: Matthew Stafford âcalm and steadyâ delivers for L.A. Rams in NFL playoff win
While this story is important to Dawgs fans, as well as the other NFL game tonight, Dawg Nation writers have interesting priorities when it comes to what stories are posted with some news never being reported. Gabe Harris, basketball with a rare win at SC, as well as Dawgs that are heading to senior bowls haven’t been mentioned yet. Too many articles about where the players that left are going.
