Re: Gunner Stockton shows itâs a new day at the QB position for Georgia: âIt felt differentâ
He's got some pretty good tangible qualities, too....imo. Reminded me a lot, of Tim Tebow…..the way he runs. It's more like a Fullback than a Fleetfooted RB. And...he's got an arm, too.
It's still kind of hard to draw any deep conclusions based on 1 game...against Marshall, no less. But, what I saw was very encouraging. Regardless of who they played.
I noticed he likes to put zip on his short throws.…and, the receivers seemed to like it, too. They didn't drop one, that I recall. That's a plus, if everybody can handle the ball speed...but, it can turn into a minus, in inclement weather. Imo
I don't care who they played...the offensive execution was spot on for this time of year. They couldn't have done a thing more....without looking like Florida gluttons running up the score.
Lol...realistically...the Dawgs probably could've scored on every possession and shut em out...IF...that was the goal. I don't think it was. This was "practice"....a dress rehearsal...a G-Day Game....sump'n like dat. Imo
Re: Georgia schedule looks tougher than ever, most future foes have fast starts
Well-written and well-researched! Great article!
Thanks, Mike! …… the season game plan laid out for Coach Kirby!
Go Dawgs! Hate on E’rrbody!

Re: Kirby Smart not happy with Georgia football fan turnout after beating 'overmatched' Marshall
What impressed me the most the first-string defense. In my opinion, the game is won or lost on defensive, if they can continue to improve the tackling and staying in position it will mean alot.
Worried a bit about Gunners true passing game, he appeared to be quick to pull and run. Better teams will solve that and then the passing becomes more relevant, and the question remains, can he excel with his passing game.
Re: Georgia schedule looks tougher than ever, most future foes have fast starts
Yesterday showed me how quickly teams can improve (or decline) from one season to the next by getting the right guys (or wrong ones) from the portal. Aguilar appears to be a much better QB option for the Vols than Nico ever was. Ty Simpson ain't going to cut it at Bama if they want to truly have a winning season. Onio State looks tough as usual, and just as I suspected, Manning was overhyped. He made a few impressive throws, but otherwise he looked pedestrian. He should improve though, because he's got the talent. Sark just can't get over the hump (or get in the end zone), and the Longhorns will be licking their wounds trying to figure out how they let another game slip away. And Auburn will be a much tougher game for the Dawgs. LSU looks much improved from last season, bringing back an experienced Nussmeier and improving their defense.
Loved what I saw from the Dawgs yesterday. Phillips is going to be key to our running game. Frazier was solid. Surprised we didn’t see much of Rod Robinson. Branch is awesome! Bolden is as good as we expected. Stockton played pretty well but will definitely have to up his game against better competition. And Pug shocked me in the best way!
