Re: Gunner Stockton knows he needs to be a more confident, explosive as Georgia football QB
Two things I noticed yesterday. The Oline was ineffective at pass protection and Gunner regressed in his check downs from 1st to 2nd game. I am concerned with all the short throws, while effective yesterday, could make future defenses load the box and hurt the running game. All that said, until we play a meaningful game, we just don't know what Gunner, Bobo and the Oline are capable of.

Re: Georgia football final grades following win over Austin Peay
Agree with the grades Connor.
The Offense is everyone's concern. The O-line is a disjointed mess. The RBs have been somewhat of a bright spot. The continued lack of use of arguably the best TE room in the nation is befuddling just as it was last season. Our defense will be tested against the Vols, but they look respectable and like a more typical Smart squad.
Gunner is a concern. Sportswriter Stewart Mandel made a valid point this morning in his weekend game synopsis:
" Stockton was a respectable 26-of-34 for 227 yards in the Dawgs’ 28-6 win over FCS foe Austin Peay, but On3/Rivals’ Anthony Dasher took a closer look at those numbers. Turns out 14 of those 26 completions were screen passes, and another four for 5 yards or less. On everything 5 yards or farther, he was just 6-of-18 for 90 yards."
That ain't gonna cut it. He had even less vertical passing last weekend.
If Bobo's game plan is to play conservative, play keep away from Aguilar, and grind out the clock, then our season is officially over. I'm hoping he has really just been keeping most of the playbook closed and will open up this offense in Knoxville…somehow.
