Re: Houston/fla basketball game was atrocious
Hate to praise the Gators but they were the deepest and one of the better defensive teams in the tournament this year. Over a full season they played extremely well, IMO.
Re: Netflix Review: Gladiator II
I thought it was unwatchable and turned it off after 30 minutes.
Re: Netflix Review: Gladiator II
Exactly. I don't often give up on a movie half-way through, but I couldn't watch the whole thing.

Re: Houston/fla basketball game was atrocious
All this focus on the 3 has resulted in an inability to control the paint, poor passing fundamentals, and a near absence of offensive rebounds. Looks like lazy street-ball to me. I haven't watched basketball regularly since the 90's. This game was one of the few I have actually sat down and watched in a long time. It was shockingly terrible. I can't believe that fla is the national champs after watching that sloppy mess.

Re: Houston/fla basketball game was atrocious
I understand what you mean. For purpose, it’s kind of reminiscent of Bama playing BYU in the tournament. They shot a ton of 3’s and somehow hit almost 50%. Nobody could beat them when they are shooting like that, nobody!
But that type of play isn’t sustainable in a tournament, no team can keep that up throughout a tournament. You can’t depend on that day in and out. You gotta be able to fall back on talent and fundamentals to keep your head above water and have a chance to win in the Dance. Don’t get me wrong, that shooting was ridiculous and a pure joy to watch, but you can’t win a championship if you rely on being able to shoot that well behind the arc. One bad day does you in.
