Re: Roger Goodell
I'm old enough to remember when the USA and Cuba each won 6 gold medals in the 1976 Olympics. Winning every classification except one. And some brilliant performances featuring 20-year old Sugar Ray Leonard who beat 30 something veterans from the Eastern bloc. Opponents that would be considered professionals by any other measure. Opponents who never had been knocked down during their entire careers.
Leonard was so fast. And his Opponents had never faced anything like him.
Leon and Michael Spinks. That gold medal match between Leon Spinks and his Cuban opponent was epic.
Re: Georgia football winners and losers following 2026 NFL draft
If people want to judge UGA's performance at the draft perhaps also look at Ohio State…leading in draft picks but didn't even win their conference and lost in first round of playoff by 10...if UGA was in similar circumstances, I feel confident folks would be doubting Kirby's coaching acumen…
Re: Roger Goodell
This was one of the worst ones I've seen:
Another Saban mulligan—no call.
Re: Braves 2026
So far so good for the Bravos. I told myself that I'd tune in after college baseball season, if the Braves were in the pennant race. Hopefully they can keep this up through June/July. The folks I've talked to seem to think Walt Weiss is really making an impact -he certainly made one on Jorge Soler.
Re: Roger Goodell
True. I remember when McMahon got body-slammed. Senior year of HS. It was a huge deal. According to Wiki it was the first time a player (the defender who did it) received a multi-game suspension in NFL history. Really made the NFL leadership start thinking about player safety.
