Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Best Sports Signs/Banners (UGA or other)

Dawg fans, what are the best, funniest or dumbest sports signs/banners you've seen either in person or watching games on TV? Here are some of my favorites - would enjoy seeing yours!

2014 UGA/Mizzou - "Used to be a Gurley girl, now I'm a CHUBBY girl!"

1998 Ga/Fla in Jax - "Will Rogers NEVER MET Steve Spurrier!" (humorist Rogers famous quote is "I never met a man I didn't like")

1991 Braves/Twins World Series - "Hey HRBEK - Buy a Vowel!"

ESPN GameDay in Columbia SC - "Too Drunk 2 Make a Good Sign"

Then there are the typical "spell out the name of the TV network covering the game," which used to be easier with ABC, NBC or CBS - new networks like ESPN2 make this much harder...

1982 UGA/Clemson Labor Day night game (ABC TV) - "Athens, Bulldogs, Clarke Central are #1" (I'm wondering to myself, viewers outside the state are thinking 'who in the world is Clarke Central?)

Dumb sign (CBS TV NFL Game) - "C'mon Bills Score"

Sorry if I over explain but sometimes generational differences are easy to underestimate. We use to hear more the term Venereal Disease, In 1976 Vince Dooley's Dogs stomped on Alabama 21-0.

  • Going to the Cocktail Party in the late 70's early 80's, used to see cars with "VD is going to get Doug(s) Dickey.."
