Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

National Take A Walk In The Park Day
Self-explanatory. Find a nice park somewhere and take a relaxing leisurely stroll. Or a brisk, more intense one. Get out and get moving around. I was fortunate to be able to take my runners to a huge park in Gainesville, FL where they ran miles and hills and I got in over 60' of walking while they did their thing.
If that's too strenous for some, it is also National Pencil Day and National Turkey Neck Soup Day. I wonder how many # 2 people on this board have used in their collective lifetimes.

I don't have a regular exercise routine and I need to develop one. It's a shame you're not in my neighborhood @donm or I'd hire you as my personal coach!
As is, I think I'll take advantage of the day and head to my nearby park. Thanks for this thread.
Annual checkups have been going well except for when the doc ask about exercise. I have to tell him I dont do much but I really dont do any. I think my job and golf should suffice but he doesnt. May take your advice donm.
Used many #2's in the ole scan-tron test days.
Never had Turkey neck soup. I've had deer heart and liver stew/soup though. @AnotherDawg this is the dish that made me start asking what I was eating before I was eating

As it turns out, I do a bit of on-line coaching. Always free as I'm not looking to change tax brackets. Feel free to send me a message. I am great for giving advice, even when not asked for.
I'll take you up on that offer @donm. Will PM you tomorrow. Appreciate it.
I walked through Tractor Supply this morning. somehow I doubt that counts.
Lol! I went through the grocery store and picked up all the foods that I need to be walking off...
Trying to get my mental state back to just walking my driveway a few times a day. It's probably 200 ft. with a 40 degree incline. Great for the cardio, and legs....
Go for it. The universe has provided for you!
We have another poster that likes giving online coaching tips, @nycdawg, come on down!
I would yield to his expertise. For a slice, of course. Ahead of time, of course.
Ya gotta watch those NYC guys, especially if their bets involve pizza.
Go for it. Any movement helps.
Just to follow up, I took my walk in the park today. Think it was about 4 miles. Leisurely pace, but I still felt like I was gonna die, 'cause I'm in terrible shape.
Counting it as a win since I did it. Hoping to repeat tomorrow,
Take your phone next time and keep posting. Mental exercise is important too
That's awesome. I broke my foot last October and the doctor said it won't be fully healed until June so no walking too much for me until it's hot as hades.
