Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

National Specially-Able Pets Day

Annually on May 3, we celebrate National Specially-abled Pets Day. This day is set aside to educate the public about caring for disabled pets. National Specially-Abled Pets Day features disabled animals looking for a home. It also encourages animal lovers to consider choosing a disabled pet when they are looking at adopting a new pet family member.

Today is also the busiest "National Day" I've encountered - ever. The themes incude:

National School Lunch Hero Day - to honor those who serve in school cafeterias across the country.

National Space Day -

National Two Different Colored Shoes Day - a chance to show off one's individuality - kind of a lame end zone dance.

National Lumpy Rug Day - either celebrate a clean run or sweeping unwanted facts "under the rug" - like Gator fans do.

National Paranormal Day - being able to see the future is one aspect of this - maybe like knowing the outcome of the WLOCP this coming Fall?

National Garden Meditation Day -

National Textiles Day -

National Chocolate Custard Day - get you some

National Raspberry Popover Day - ditto

National SAN Architect Day - not sure all that this entials but Storage Area Network sounds important for computers. If we have one on this fourm. hat's off. Salud.

National Montana Day - why not? I loved Joe Montana.

Had to put down my diabetic dogs last week. He lived with it for his last years of his 17 year old life

Sorry to hear this. I’ve actually been dealing with this for almost a year. Two shots of vetsulin a day. She is almost 10. She still seems like her old self most days, but her sight has gone quickly. Her weight has remained steady. If you don’t mind my asking, how long did your dog make it after diagnosis?
