National Best Friends Day
Best friends are certainly something special. Often, time and distance doesn't affect best friends. The friendship seems to survive through thick and thin. Pick up that phone and give your BFF a call or a text. Today is ready made to connect. I'm at an age where some best friends are no longer alive. So cherish the ones you have and celebrate.
National Pick Your Poison Day
Most commonly this phrase was used by bartenders to ask patrons what they would like to drink. However, checking in with Peabody's Improbable History, we find that earlier usage referred to making a choice between several bad options - no matter the choice, something bad was going to happen.
So, today is really about making a choice. It may be a simple choice to make, or it might be a difficult decision that requires a lot of thought.
Hopefully you wont have to make any bad decisions today. An easy one would be to reach out to a best friend.
