Georgia title hopes take hit with WR dismissal, transfers must prove on target
ATHENS — Georgia football’s national title hopes took a hit on Friday with the dismissal of the team’s leading returning receiver, Jeremiah “J.J.” Holloman. UGA football coach Kirby Smart issued a statement on Friday announcing the news that Holloman, a talented 6-foot-2 receiver from Covington, was no longer part of

Hollomon was a good player and I wish he was still available, but it's not like we just lost A J Green.
I would add that the loss of Ridley (44 catches, 570 yards, 9 TDs) Hardman (34 catches, 532 yards, 7 TDs) and Godwin (22 catches, 373 yards, 3 TDs). are not players of the caliber that can't be replaced. They were three good players but their total production of 1,475 yards was not earth shattering.
If Georgia was playing Auburn, Florida or T A&M within the first three games I would have some real concern. Having Vandy, Murray St and Arkansas St as the first three opponents will give Fromm time to acclimate to the receivers. There is plenty of receiver talent on hand and the early schedule sets up well enough for it to all come together...
Really glad Cager is now a Dawg. Ditto Wolff. And I like the 3 freshman WRs coming in. UGA still has weapons to throw to.
This article says absolutely nothing as to the reason Holliman was dismissed. That is irresponsible as it leads to conjecture and can be poisonous to a program. Please provide a little more depth and insight, and if you have none, state such.
We'll be fine.
There was an earlier article that explained it. https://www.dawgnation.com/football/jeremiah-holloman-dimissed-georgia-football

Mike, I think this "opportunity" is perfect for Cager to step in and shine. Coley knows what he can do, and if he can earn Fromm's trust he'll have a great chance to step in and replace JJ.
It's gonna take Pickens and the other freshmen several games to learn how to play winning ball, but hopefully they'll be ready to go by the mid point of the season.
