National Camera Day

We all have favorite pics - ones that we cherish and bring back memories. What are some of your favorites? I have one of my dad in WWII posing with his fighter squadron -P51 Mustangs - before they left for Europe. Those were the days when pilots with good eyesigth often won dogfights - see first, shoot first. I also have one of my little league team cica 1953 when curiously, I was one of the larger kids. Today I am 5'7" and, apparently, shrinking.

It's also National Waffle Iron Day - where do you eat out to get your favorite waffles? I'm an IHOP fan. myself. Of all the non-chain restaurants I've been to, Jerry's country kitchen in Carrollton, GA is my all-time favorite for pancakes and waffles. Any of you been there?

As to dogfights, I've read that until actual combat, there is no foolproof way of knowing who is good at it. A few will be hunters and the rest will be targets/targets in waiting. This is based on WW2 research. With the Navy's TOPGUN and the USAF Red Flag training, perhaps this is no longer true.
