The article is good...but, the standout room is the proofreaders.

One wonders if we have a defensive line?

Not saying we don't as I know we've not seen the current group in its entirety. One new guy, the right one new guy, can sometimes transform a marginal position group into a more than adequate force to be reckoned with.

Last year's defensive line was certainly better than that of many teams we played but it wasn't quite adequate against the very best teams. We need significant improvement this season. Not that we don't all already know that.

In some ways our team this year might be considered a fairly young team. Many of our players will be freshman and sophomores. Assuming the official unofficial summer program goes according to plan they'll be ready for a quantum leap in fall camp.

Do headline proofreaders have a summer program or any leadership?

    Go, Dawgs!

With regard to the receivers, we have the luxury of a proven three year starter at quarterback who is an outstanding leader as well as outstanding receiver coaches. I believe Fromm will demand excellence from these new guys as well as returning players in running routes and I think we will have guys step up. I look for big things from the receiving group. Go Dawgs!

Maybe you should of named this new faces, rather than freshmen contributors.

I think another possible position is RB. A couple of injuries there, and you are likely to see someone new real quick.

I continue to think the receiver positions will be much, much better than many writers seem to think. Too much raw talent and stiff competition among that group. Just my opinion.

This time next year, all the talk will be about the amount of quality talent in the receiver room.
