Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Very Smart Recruiting Tool
Can'r recall ever seeing any mentions of a "Careers Day" type program like this at UGA. OSU offers it to both existing players and recruits. If we're not yet offering anything like this we should be. It's an incredibly smart idea (leave it to Urban to think of it). Think how much more impressive a UGA program could be over OSU's by leveraging alumni relationships across Atlanta Fortune-500 companies.
Strongly recommend checking out what OSU has been building up and offering to their recruits in recent years: http://www.cleveland.com/osu/2017/06/ohio_state_incorporates_huge_r.html

Sounds a little like The Paul Oliver Network that was started a few years ago at UGA.

Thanks for taking the time to post those links @daddydawg72 . It's great to see a program like PO Network has been in place at Georgia.
It's focus seems to be more on mentoring post-grad players, which again is great. But would be nice to see it, or a new iteration of PO Network, include a career day component for under-grad players and recruits. Don't mean to be so blatant in my focus on recruits, but if I was a parent of a prospect and Georgia provided a program like that for its players -- I would make sure my kid recognizes the value in having that benefit every year.
