Honestly, if White is on special teams I will indeed be furious. Another knee injury for White may just change his life forever. Do not put him on special teams. We have too many other talented players with more experienced playing special teams to risk this kids future on a punt play.

White is a football player that aspires to play at the next level and is eligible to come out after this year. NFL teams are going to really do their due diligence because of his knees. The more film he can produce that shows he can help a team in a myriad of ways including ST the better for his future draft status. It's hard to imagine Zamir being one and done, but I couldn't blame him for wanting to get paid ASAP rather than risking another year and possibly missing the opportunity to fulfill his dream.

He wouldn’t be eligible for the draft until after the 2020 season.

um, no. The elite running backs for most programs are not playing on special teams prior to being eligible for the draft. And, NFL scouts are not grading elite RBs on accomplished as an underclassman-on special teams.
