NCAA is an institution who can't follow its own rules. They need to get off their high horse before someone knocks them off with a major lawsuit.

  • Let's not take it any further please.

NCAA had it's hands tied by the Fields verdict when Martel decided to transfer and couldn't renig in that situation. Don't know the other dude, but I do fully know the Luke Ford circumstances because he is a good friend of my daughter. I agree about the ineptitude of the NCAA and wonder why they exist.

    and in other news,

Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins rips NCAA for not granting immediate eligibility to Florida DL transfer Antonneous Clayton.

Also, Eason didn't buck the system and abided by by the same rules that applied to Fields, Solomon, and many, many others that gave the finger to the NCAA and laughed at their policies of which each student -athlete agreed to accept upon signing their scholarships. Screw legal contracts, handshakes, laws, road signs, etc... Lets all buck the system and just do whatever we wish to.

Luke Ford may wind up being the big winner in all of this "stuff". Everybody wants early playing time ready for it or not. Ford will have the opportunity to gel with his teammates, coaches, the system, etc. In 3 years(?) I hope Ford is the top TE taken and saaaay a top 15 pick. I can't remember a lot of TEs going high or even 1st rd.

I sure hope Luke Ford goes on to become the NFL MVP and then goes on to become the president of the Serengeti, because there’s a lot of crap going on down there that needs to be corrected.

***lets try to keep race out of it, signed your friendly mods***

Wasn't there some story about Tracy Rocker pi$$ing off Solomons mom during the recruiting process. Don't know if that had anything to do with him picking UM over UGA but now he's playing for Rocker anyway.
