Georgia football report card: Bulldogs ace final warm-up, pound Arkansas State 55-0

ATHENS — Georgia coach Kirby Smart couldn’t say enough in the days leading up to Saturday’s game about how good of a football program Arkansas State is and the respect he has for the Sun Belt Conference. Smart said he’s glad his No. 3-ranked Bulldogs (3-0) prepared and played the game with the same mindset en route

I find the OL assessments here and in the stock article a bit odd. In both, the 4th and 2 is referenced as a negative example. I would argue that running a QB sneak with a full 2 yards to gain and getting it easily is pretty respectable. Overall, I thought the run blocking left a lot to be desired. Sure, a lot of yards were gained, but that was mostly to the credit of the runningbacks. There's enough evidence to the contrary that I'm confident this was an aberration, and the pass protection was good. Considering the opponent, I'd give the OL a C- for the day.
OL an A-..seriously? A far smaller D gave 330 giants fits today. More than once they stopped the running game during short yardage situations.. SEC Defenses are bigger, stronger, and faster. B- at best
These grades seem about right to me. That said, we need to improve a lot given the standards we have and the opposition we'll be facing. We're about as well prepared as I'd hope to be given we have only a week to improve before Notre Dame visits.
I'd have trouble trading this team and coaching staff for anyone else's, but we have a long way to go, and much to improve.
Go, Dawgs!
Great JV scrimmage DAWGS!
Best overall execution that we've had thus far this season, but still there are areas that need improvement. Fromm looked sharp, running game was good, defense looked good, receivers were fantastic, and special teams performed well. However, I don't agree with all the grades.
The Irish looked very good today as well. Expect ND to crowd the box, try to stop the run, and force Fromm to pass. We'll know how good these DAWGS really are next week. I can't wait for Saturday!
GO DAWGS!!
Correction to my post..Should have been 6 feet.. Not 6 yards.
I see no worries about this team. Playoffs or bust. Yall cray for trying to nitpick this team.they are ready to win it all.
