A bit surprised by the spread. Think it should be closer. ND is definitely better than they were last time.

The keys to a Win against ND:

    - Protect Fromm

    - Effective pass rush

    - Enough of an effective run game to balance the attack.

QB Book is a capable scrambler, and if he gets loose and downfield often it could be a long night. Expect ND defense to load the box, try and stuff the run, and force Fromm to throw. They will also blitz often. We'll find out how good our OL and defense REALLY is on Saturday.

Florida, South Carolina, and Kentucky all looked better than advertised yesterday. They all proved to be competitive. We'll have our hands pretty full in the SEC East after this game (more than I thought we would at the beginning of the season).

    GO DAWGS!!!

Notre Dame's giving up an average of 4.96 yards per rushing play, and 230.50 Rushing yards per game.

Georgia is averaging 286 Rushing per game. Neither team has played a good team to this point. It's going to be an interesting match up.

This looks like a game that may be close until sometime in the 4th quarter. RBU will put the Irish defense to the test.

I think Fromm and the passing game are going to do some damage as well.

I want to see a stadium full of red. The beauty of Sanford Stadium is a sea of red. No blackout or gimmicks just because it is a big game. They are all big. I want notre Dame to red all night. Go dawgs!

If I was a betting man, I'd take that bet. Don't see this game being decided by more 7 points. I hope I'm wrong and the DAWGS light it up with 42 points on ND, versus their 21..GoDAWGS!

I want to see Kirby and Coley unleash these dawgs and see what’s under the hood. I don’t think we’ve seen our rbs at their best yet. I have enjoyed what I’ve seen out of our wrs the past 2 games and our defense has improved with every game.

if our o line plays to their capacity this game could be over by halftime.

I know Kirby will temper the hype train this week but I’m just so excited that this program is getting these kinds of exposure games!

Those 3 teams looked good? FLA and KY are both overrated, at least Hilinski at SC is a better QB than Bently will ever be

I would be happy with a one point win.

FLA may be overrated, but they are playing better football than I thought they would this season. Like I said, they proved to be competitive. I really thought FLA would be just bad. QB Trask did a great job in the game after Franks got hurt. Trask stepped in and completed passes and evaded the rush. I've never been impressed with Franks. He's played better this season, but he makes poor choices and is so inconsistent. Trask should be a better overall QB.

SC and KY aren't even rated, so I don't know what you mean by being 'overrated'. They are playing better than I thought they would. KY QB Smith made some bad decisions (3 INTs, but not all his fault) but threw for 267 yards. KY defense stuffed the FLA run game most of the day, and it wasn't until later in Q4 that the FLA run game got going.

SC's Hilinski threw for 324 yards, 2 TDs, and SC scored 23 points on Bama. If it wasn't for a couple of seriously key mistakes by SC, they would have probably scored another 10-14 points on Bama. Bama didn't put some scrubs in the game until later in Q4.

Not sure how many defenders from the playoff team ND returns this year, but they've played solid defense for the past two years. As another comment mentioned, their run defense has looked slightly suspect so far this year, so hoping we just run it down their throat and eat clock. Getting Book into pressure situations and generally causing Kirby's trademarked Havoc will be a big key on defense as their run game doesn't worry me quite as much this year.

Overall I think we are simply more talented top to bottom than a vast majority of teams in the country and should win this game at home handily.

I feel like that’s too many points. The game will be closer than that.

Either it's too many points, or ND is SEVERELY overrated.  I think the second.  I wish Kirby would let the backs get into a rhythm.  I understand fresh legs.  But a back that gets several carries in a drive starts getting a feel about which way this lineman slants, how this LB likes to try to tackle him.  How fast the right CB really is and how well the receiver can block him to which side.  Getting two or three carries per quarter will not let a back be able to see those things and take advantage.  Hope DAWGS run it down the Irish' throat.  Hope Fromm has no reason to throw more than 15 passes, all game.  Pound the rock until they stop it.
