How about starting the game with the two minute offense on the opening drive? ND would be confused and frustrated not being able to sub and there would be no competitive disadvantage for the defense having to come right back onto the field after a quick score. If anything, the D could play loose and relaxed with ND having to come from behind right off the bat.
I like it. And then, next drive, give them a steady dose of Swift, Herrien, Zeus, and company.
I thought about our opening play from scrimmage flea flicker TD against Miss'ippi State 2 years ago.
What a play to get the crowd excited!
BTW, I don't think Dan Mullen will EVER get over that play.
