I'm sorry, but Corso needs to retire

I love Corso. He's my favorite guy on Gameday...but he is not himself anymore. It's getting uncomfortable watching him struggle to find his words and Herbie having to help him finish his thoughts. It's sad, but I think it's time he moves on. He's going to eventually do something very embarrassing or have a serious medical issue on live TV. I love the guy, but it hurts me to see him struggle like that. Thoughts?

I agree. It’s getting worse. I normally don’t watch all of Game Day, but yesterday was special. Corso is a survivor, and I respect him a lot. However, it is obvious that he cannot react well at this point, and it is time...

He’s 84 years old and 9 years removed from a ****. Apparently yesterday's struggles were nothing new. Here’s an article discussing it from 2 years ago. Hard to believe he’s been doing the show since 1987.

I agree, @pgjackson. Sit him down after the season, explain that next season will be his farewell tour to let the fans show their appreciation for a guy that has been a big part of an iconic sports show for over 30 years.

If they let him continue, I’m afraid the lasting memory of him will be something bad like you say. When I lived in the Philly area, Harry Kalas was near the end of his broadcast career, and was going through the same things (this guy was Munson to them). One day, they found him out cold in the broadcast booth at the Nationals stadium. Never regained consciousness. Sad.
