the only way all these guys can get enough touches is to speed up tempo, or take touches from Swift/Herrian. We’re only running 62 plays a game on average.Mizzou leads country with 87. Swift and Herrian are already getting 25 of those, then Fromm is averaging 5 incompletions a game. Leaves only 30 or so plays left for all the guys we complain don’t have the ball enough: D Rob, the tight ends, Cook, Zeus, Pickens, Blaylock, Etc, not to mention solid dudes like Cager, Simmons and Kearis when he gets back.

You guys keep on sleeping on (or showing no respect to) Blaylock. He plays much taller that his practice stature, and tangibles such as height, speed, etc., indicates, as seen when touching the ball both in games as a DAWG, and in the All-American Bowl earlier this year. Go to YouTube and check the following: Analysis: Dominick Blaylock. I hope he develops a Mt. Everst sized shoulder chip. Even if he doesn't - watch him. He and Pickens, together, will be all but unguardable. So, you might as well begin giving him a bit of love.

Not sure what makes you think they are sleeping on him. Mike Griffith is constantly talking about him and how he’s one of the 3 best receivers on the team. I agree with you, he and Pickens together will be great for the next few years. But you do have to bring these guys along at the right pace. Now that we are 4 games in, I think you’ll see Kirby give them more opportunities.

I think my favorite aspect of Pickens is that he’s a team first kind of guy. He’s not whining and pouting about not getting the ball more. He’s out there working hard to make his team better and help get his teammates opportunity to make plays.

We've got to get away from only taking what the defense is giving us and force the issue sometimes.

I just hope getting players the ball don't involve adding more End Around type plays the dozen or more we run a game now make the offensive scheme look like a joke

If Pickens does a good job with the whole route tree and if the other receivers do also, then attempt more passes. Is it that hard to get the ball to the receivers? Come on Coach. Most of us have never coached college ball nor played college ball so our opinions can easily be dismissed but a lot of us have watched decades of football to where we can tell when coaching philosophy is the impediment and not a lack of talent.(Block to get on the field as a receiver? What? The only receiver in history that was known for blocking is Hines Ward, can anyone name another) If you trust Jake as much as you say, then allow him to throw the ball downfield 20 to 30 times per game. If I'm a big time receiver or pass catching tight end, signing with the Dawgs would be a hard sell based on pass attempts over the last 4 seasons. If I'm a running back, then I'd want to sign with the Dawgs from pre-school if I could but as a receiver, not so much. Go Dawgs!

We've got to take more deep shots, otherwise defenses have no reason to back off

I'm not sure why you have to work to get the ball to Pickens....Put him in the game and throw to him
