National Do Something Nice as well as Natonal Get Funky Day. For some reason I was unable to get the whole title in the box, hence the clickbait approach in the title.

National Apple Betty Day - October 5, ushers in National Apple Betty Day with a sweet aroma of apples baked in cinnamon and oats.

Similar to what is known as apple crisp, crumble or cobbler, the American variant known as the Betty or Brown Betty dates from colonial times. Most Apple Betty recipes call for cinnamon, sugar and butter to make the crumbs that top sliced apples. Sometimes oats or flour are added, too.

National Do Something Nice Day. Similar to the Random Acts of Kindness Day last February, take the opportunity to do something nice for someone. Hold a door open, let someone get in line in the grocery store if they have only a few items,. Whatever. I'm sure we can all find something nice to do. I was nearing my house on the way back from a cross country meet this AM and my neighbor, whom I've never met, asked me to give her some banjo lessons. I hesitated, but then agreed, thinking it's good to be neighborly.

National Get Funky Day,...maybe close to kickoff, you can put on some music and start getting funky. Wear some clothes from back in the 80's (if you can still fit in them) or do something else out of the normal. Get funky white/black/brown/yellow/boy/girl (and anything else I might have forgotten).

Can't wait til KO.
