I've been watching college football for a very long time and I know a championship premier player when I see 1 and Zamir White is a championship premier player. He has brute strength, speed and determination. Like Sony and Chubb, Zamir White in my opinion is capable of carrying this team all the way and I hope Kirby can see this. That was the missing link last season.
I love the way Kirby is slow playing him! No need to overwork him this early so he can get his confidence in his knees back!
Our coaches seem to be able to handle "super star" athletes in a manner that makes them willing to wait to show their talent (all except the qb position and I guess that is to be expected). That trait combined with the red hot recruiting will keep UGA on top for a long time (no one should expect NCs every year to come to pass). As long as we're in the hunt at the end of the year, the championships will come (note alabama and clemson).
" — whose offseason workout videos only fulled the hype-train —" Connor, PLEASE proofread your work. Tank some pride in what you do.
I hate that Zeus is on the punt return team. I just don't think the risk is worth the reward.
The irony...
I think connor tanks a ton of pride in his work
Dawgs ground game is best when they find the hot back early then, feed him the ball, and then rotate in fresh legs for a carry or two. The Vols were keying on Swift early and the Herrien/White tandem was driving the ball tight thru the heart of the Vol defense.
I still think Zeus is the best back on the team, bar none. I think the only reason that isn't evident by now is because of his ACL injuries. But it's coming back. I'm not the coach, but for my money, there should NEVER be a game in which he doesn't play, unless he's injured. I also find it interesting that CKS now says he's one of the best pass blockers on the team. After the first game of the year, CKS hinted that he needed to improve in that area to get more playing time (a comment I thought odd at the time because he didn't really get an opportunity to pass block in that game). Anyway, I am a 1,000 percent Zeus fan and I predict his "breakout" game will be against Florida. We'll need him then. Go Dawgs!
