ATHENS — Georgia football coach Kirby Smart used the phrase “step up” quite a bit this week. The 20-17 overtime loss to South Carolina certainly wasn’t acceptable, and nothing less than a convincing win over Kentucky at  6 p.m. on Saturday (TV: ESPN) will satisfy. Mike, thanks for telling it like it is..... as Dawg fans, we appreciate it. Like most, I have a lot of doubts. We’ll see what our coaching staff and players are made of over the next six weeks. Come on, let’s GO DAWGS!

    Your assessment of Reed is ridiculous.....The defense has not allowed a rushing touchdown this year and part of that is bc Reed has the 2nd most tackles. Reed had an interception against ND which has been the only team Georgia has played w any passing threat (proven QB). The defense has played well all year w the exception of a few busted coverages which Reed was not responsible. Stop writing words to simply take up space in your half baked articles...

    @Mike Griffith

    “……front line once known as the “Great Wall.” The mere mention of the nickname draws snickers from opposing fanbases and makes even the most loyal Georgia fans wince.”

    It should be remembered that the nickname for the OL didn’t come from the players, coaches, or anywhere else within the program – it came as a result of @jeff_sentell and @brandon_adams little nickname “poll” on the forum. So any wincing should be done primarily by those two, and by DawgNation, who showed that they could be led to engage in braggadocio in a manner worthy of the Florida Gators.

    Another thing to remember is that it’s axiomatic to say that the only thing that the Media enjoys more than hyping something up, is when they get a chance to tear that same thing down.
