Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Since it's become almost impossible to have an intelligent football conversation on here - there is
Went to the Zac Brown Band concert last night. Always been a fan but never seen them live. Took my family and it was incredible. What a group of amazing musicians.
They cover:
Bohemian Rhapsody
Enter Sandman
Bulls on Parade
Pour some Sugar on me
Take it to the Limit
James Taylor - Don't let me be lonely tonight
Allman Brothers - Whipping post
It was a phenomenal show. And you could tell the band was having a blast.
And Lukas Nelson was the opening act. Wow....what a talent.

Im surprised Whipping Post is still allowed to be played these days. Seems like the PC crowd would jump on the fact he compares being jilted by a woman to slaves being tied to a post and whipped for discipline. Jesse and Al have been asleep at the wheel. Or maybe the song is about Betsy Ross’s lover and his feelings during that era.
Maybe. But the concert was awesome.
Except that whipping posts have been used for centuries for all sorts of "transgressions". Not exclusive to slavery.
I’ll refrain from pointing out that usually doesn’t matter.
Probably bc the tangerine tweet machine is keeping them occupied.
That's not refraining. And it's a true statement. The term "whipping post" has nothing to do with slavery.
Don't waste your time.
Really enjoy ZBB. I went to a Kenny chesney show in college with my girlfriend at the time with them opening and I enjoyed them way more than Kenny. If you get a chance, check out when Zach played with string cheese. It was awesome.
Nothing? And neither did the Civil War?

Last comment. Bored. The part in italics is an EXAMPLE. the part above that is the DEFINITION. I'll not go into why they include examples
Seen them a few times around atlanta. 1st time years ago at a local country dance bar. A buddy said hey we should go see these guys they're a pretty cool local band!! They were still pimpin their own CD's. Bot long after that they hit it big
If I'd known where thread was going to go I would have not mentioned that they played that song.
Sorry.
No problem. You didn't start it. And I guess it's a legitimate discussion. Can't dictate where a thread will go.
This thread is weirder than WC's tangents on military strategy
