Everybody knows that for Auburn to win, the game rests 100% on Nix's shoulders. Even with the off week, he is still a freshman and way over his head in big games.

Every college football fan (mostly Alabama fans) and some analysts truly believe Georgia should not be a top 5 team.... If this doesn't light a fire under you to go out and prove people wrong and hit teams in the mouth then i don't know what will! This is Georgia's second and only opportunity to get what they want out of this season.

I expect all the leaders in that locker room to really step up and get things going.

I'm not sure that most college football fans believe UGA shouldn't be in the Top 5, @Billy21. I think even Bama fans would be OK with it if Bama was ranked AHEAD of us. I think that's their frustration. I do believe, though, that most football "experts" (and even casual fans), believe that we're going to either lose to Auburn Saturday or to LSU in the SECCG, if not both, and then our lofty ranking will be a moot point. I think that's why so many bowl projects call for us playing almost anywhere else except in the CFP.

Who knows, those folks may be right. Which is why I'm still not over us losing the National Championship game back in 2018. We HAD that game and I said after we lost, when so many people kept saying how CKS would have us back every year, that there are no guarantees. Each year sits on its own merits. Just look at LSU. Last year, they were OK, but people laughed at Joe Burrow. Now, LSU is the toast of the town and Burrow is counting down the days until he picks up the Heisman Trophy. Things change, and they change quickly. Go Dawgs!

    I do hope you're right!

I watched a youtube video of highlights of the 1980 season. While we were good, we had a lot of close games against unranked teams (someone else pointed this out...can't remember who, or I'd give credit).

This season, there have been several games where we won, but the final score made it seem closer than it was. Notre Dame and FU come immediately to mind.

In the SCAR game, it was the turnovers that killed us...and SCAR plays ALWAYS plays us hard...that is something that you won't find on paper. But we dominated most aspects of that game. If just a few things had gone the other way, the complexion of the game, and hence the season, would have gone completely different.

    Go Dawgs!

A ton of psychology goes into the reasons why GA should or should not win out. Some of it is justified, some not so much. It boils down to game day preparation and the real test is on the field of play. GA needs to win this away game...simple. They have the talent and determination.....now just DO IT...WIN one at Auburn!!! JUST DO IT! GO DAWGS!

The talent that Kirby has accumulated at UGA is probably the best in the nation. The injury bug hit us last week, particularly on the O-line. Hell, nearly the entire starters rolled ankles, and while some may return Saturday, they won't be 100%. Against the best D-line in college football. The O-line that we put out there must have good pass protection, because there will be a crowd in the box. And Jake needs to throw to the guys that catch the **** ball, which means to anyone not named Simmons or Landers.

Cager, Robertson, Woener, Wolf, Pickens, and Blalock come to mind of Dawgs with good hands.

My Dawgs have not played like a Top 4 team this year. Period. We look inconsistent and the conservative play calling is getting old. We certainly have the talent to win a National Championship, and no one should be satisfied with less. It all comes down to coaching, discipline, focus, heart, and execution.

Whomever possesses those key ingredients will win the National Championship. LSU seems like THAT team this year, but I am not counting the Dawgs out before this weekend.

    GO DAWGS!!
