"Open up the playbook" is smoke and mirrors. An average highschool d coordinator could scheme up our offense...

Mike - the playbook is not the problem. Our problems stem from poor execution. Hopefully, all of our offensive components will be primed and ready to execute whatever play that is called, without the costly penalties, drops, fumbles, missed blocks, or poorly thrown balls.

We need all hands on deck to tame those tigas.

You mean they've been holding back the good stuff? OK Jake, make me a believer.

    We'll see won't we?

I'm with you, @RollDog . At this point, why are we promising we have all of these new plays. If indeed we have them, let's just run them on Saturday and surprise everybody (LSU, UGA fans, our entire defense). No need to put LSU on any kind of alert. But as many have said, it's not about the plays we call (well, it is a little bit), but whether we can execute those plays. If a receiver is open, and Jake throws behind him or over his head, it's the same result. If linemen miss a block, it doesn't matter whether LSU made a great defensive play. Bottom line will be the play was stopped. If receivers drop catchable passes, it doesn't matter that we ran a beautifully designed play to get him open, the result is still an incomplete pass. Se we just need to execute the plays that are called. If so, maybe we'll have a puncher's chance on Saturday. Go Dawgs!

I'll admit I never read these articles but the "open things up" byline grabbed my attention. I'll support the team no matter the result, but I too am a little frustrated at times. No way we can change who we are/what we are in five days so the BIG BOLD print accomplished it's goal and pulled me in to read the story.

IMO for us to win we must find a way TO NOT, as we did against USC, UF and AU, go so many series 3 & out. Kirby remarked post the Auburn win that the defense "has got to find a way to not get worn down in fourth quarter." Really Kirby? Try having the offense stay on the field longer than two minutes for nine consecutive series and score something greater than FG's while doing so-when we do score. I'll take an **** offensive win seven days/week, but at some point the defense will breakdown physically.

I don't have the answers and thats why I'm a medical salesman and not a CFB player nor a coach. I do know we will be there and in full-throated support of the team either way.

I wonder what QB would have better stats than Fromm if his best receiver is #8 or #9 in the pecking order from the previous season. Certainly Brees and Brady would do no better.....nor would Fields, Lawrence, Tua, etc. I’m sooooo tired of the Fromm bashers who don’t realize how he has held this team together and overcome incredible obstacles. Go Dawgs!!!

Poor ole Fromm , It is everyone's fault but his. …… I would dare say the WRs have caught close to 90% catchable balls thrown there way the past 4 weeks

and half you imagine he is a 1st rd draft pick that will be an all pro one day

    lmao

CKS wanted a Game Manager / Field General …. So he sent Eason and Fields elsewhere and has been able to build a team in the image he wanted. He has won almost all the games he coached Fromm the only issue comes up when we face teams where the QB has to perform and help the offense beyond not turning the ball over and throwing a few out passes to the sideline

It is what it is …… Fromm is no great QB however he has lead us to many wins and has done a solid job throughout his time ….. Hell Tebow and several AL QBs won national titles by being leaders and not turning the ball over and maybe Fromm will do the same thing

If that is "opening up the playbook", we need to close it back up, throw it away, and find a new author.
