Don't count this kid out in the QB competition. From everything I've read, he's a competitor and talented QB. Looking forward to see how this all plays out...

Beck is a very confident young man. I'm looking forward to the Spring game and getting a chance to see the ones who shine the brightest. Go Dawgs!!!

Having such great QB competition will make each of them a better player. Keep grinding, Dawgs! Don't expect anything to be given to you. Go out there and earn it with hard work! Keep grinding! Keep GATA!

    GO DAWGS!

Yep, the G-Day game is going to be very, very interesting. We have 3 relative unknowns on QB (We've seen Bennett play at least a bit), but I bet you could make the argument for ANY of them to be named QB on Game #1 as well as halfway through the season and then near the end. Mathis is listed as anywhere from the 11th to 23rd best QB in the class (3-4 stars) and has been at UGA for over a year now, Newman is technically just a 3-star, but sure has impressive upside and the most mature/most experience while Carson Beck is (in theory at least) the highest rated at the 5th best Pro Style.

It should be fun - I'm hoping to see some crazy big passes completed in that game.

We want to see the spring game and make our assessments on a few minutes worth of no QB getting hit. CKS will already have made his evaluation by then, heading into fall practice. I doubt it will be off of arm strength (or Fields would have beat out Fromm) . It will be who is the guy I can trust the most when the stuff hits the fan. Who knows the playbook, who can get us in the right formation, and who can take a busted play and make something positive out of it or at the very least not turn the ball over. Who is the leader? Pretty sure they can all zing it around the field pretty well.

Beck might be in completion but he isn’t winning the starting job. You’re foolish if you think otherwise.

    Go Dawgs
