While this year’s UGA basketball team is struggling through its second dismal season in a row, the tough times apparently won’t have much of impact on the NBA future of Anthony Edwards. Hate it that AE will only be with us for one season but if he really is going to be the first pick, how is he going to pass up that? His game is probably better suited for the NBA than college because he will have fewer double teams and zones to clog up the lane. His game would probably benefit from another year of college ball because he is only 18 after all. At the next level he is going to be playing with grown men. I would love for him to return for one more season especially if Crean can recruit a big man to play with him.

For all the hoopla about Edwards, it does not seem worth it since we're just in the midst of another dismal season, especially if he takes off to the NBA at the end.

We can only be left to wonder the what if scenario...what if all 7 feet of Big Man Claxton returns for another year along with Antman. This team and the results might be a lot different. Crean needs a dominant big man in the worst way. The stars just can't seem to align for Georgia Basketball.

    Good luck to the Antman!
