Tim Brewster

in Off Topic
Man this guy is quickly becoming hard to handle just like Danny boy. I am positive he is negatively recruiting aganist Georgia. Brewster may quickly become a problem for Kirby and staff.

Cool story bro. There’s a huge difference between having the #1 class in March and having the #1 class in February.
I agree but i still think he will be a problem for us.
Brewster picked up a TE most likely 5th or 6th down our board and another we hadnt offered, im ok with that.
How long does he stick at uf though ? Guy likes to bounce around.
Having the number 1 recruiting class in March is like stopping to celebrate the fact that you won the first 100 meters of a marathon.
If you don't think Kirby can't handle anything this guy throws at him on the recruiting trail, I don't know what to tell you.
I remember when Georgia Tech moved ahead of the Dawgs last cycle, right at the end of April. Then they finished 26th and Georgia finished a few spots higher, I believe.
Everybody is recruiting negatively against everybody, but Florida can't have a lot of ammunition in that department going against UGA.
You know what's even worse than celebrating a recruiting title? Celebrating a recruiting title that won't even be decided for 11 months.
Kirby & Co will destroy these clowns on the trail.
We still talking recruiting right?
So you don't think Brewster could pose an issue for us (if he sticks around long enough)?
I understand confidence in Kirby (i'am very confident in him) but lets not pretend he is untouchable or cant be negatively impacted by a slime ball used car sales man.
Maybe i worry to much haha.
The guy is getting paid to generate attention, and I'd say he's doing that!
Winning cures all
Let's review shall we, in the last couple of years UGA has been neck in neck with Bama in regards to recruiting so.... Clownshoes and minions aren't a real worry at this point.
I don't think he'll be any more of an issue than any other solid recruiting assistant coach at a competitor is.
Think of it like how Rodney Garner is viewed (both when he was at UGA and now that he's at Auburn). Adequate on-field coach. Very good recruiter.
But he's not a "problem" for us or anyone else. He's just one of a bunch of good recruiters who UGA recruits against. Brewster is the same sort of guy.
The insurmountable problem for the slime ball used car salesman is that people drive the cars they sell.
Sure, Brewster’s going to get his- it’s why Mullen brought him in, but Kirby has the sales pitch and the quality “merchandise” to back it up.
If they're still in that spot come December then I'll take notice. Until then, hard to get too worked up about it. I'll file it in the same folder as Franks "seeing to it personally" that Florida would hang 50 on everyone.
Chicken little gif?
Chicken little gif.
I don't think we should worry about what Kirby and the assistants can do on the trail against other teams. They've proven they can go toe-to-toe with the best recruiting programs in the nation and sign the very best recruits, and UF is nowhere close to those other teams' recruiting pedigree. #NotWorried
OP forgot the "/s"
Not trying to be passive aggressive or dismissive but no, when it comes to recruiting and competing with that particular staff I’m not worried. Yes we will lose battles but there’s one thing we should be bullish on and that’s Kirby’s ability to recruit, or put a staff together that can do so better than everyone else. 3/4 years including this one, we will finish #1 overall. Mark it down. Now we’re recruiting guys that provide less headaches too. Staff literally walked away from arguably the best player last year and still landed #1 overall. They do the same this year and now ~18 will be EE to go along with it.
2 programs get my attention as it relates to our targets consistently: Clemson and Auburn. In today’s world the rest are no concern imo.
Hypothetically, if this offense comes together like we think it can, recruiting for UGA only gets easier. No worries whatsoever.
If Brewster is as good as advertised he wouldn't have to strut around twitter boasting as he is. I'm not saying he's not a good recruiter. I have no idea. I had never heard of him until Florida hired him. I just do not worry about UGA recruiting since Kirby was hired. It seems like he's more interested in firing shots at Kirby than he is recruiting for Florida.
BTW, North Carolina is doing some very good recruiting this year. Does anyone know how involved Brewster was with what they have committed so far?
