Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I think all this is helping me reset, reframe, and remember what’s most important.
We all love Georgia sports or we wouldn’t be on this forum, but we love our family and friends, too.
I was wondering how LSU fans would feel if this virus ban had hit in December and the football playoff and bowl games were all cancelled. Or how we’d feel if it happened later this year and a promising season was canceled. Disappointed and frustrated, sure, but life is bigger.
Hug those most important, call your parents, enjoy fellowship time with friends and GO Dawgs!
Stay positive, This Too shall.
Then once the market starts to show consistent life of returning invest as much as you can and the next 3-5 you will look back and thank the Corona Virus.
People are panic buying in Germany too, DoD schools are going to online instruction, German schools are closed until late April. Work seems like it's going to telework. I'm more concerned about my daughter back in Georgia at UNG given that she doesn't drive. BUT I imagine we'll all be fine(mostly).
If they start annoying you (and they will) let them know they are annoying you and then give them a job to do around the house. They will soon stop annoying you. They are smarter than we think.
As for me, I’m 73, so any day I don’t read my name in the obituary column is going to be a pretty good day.
Yeah TurkDawg I was just reminded to call my oldest brother. He had a **** some years ago. Our conversations are not the most fluid and he has his own large family of children and grandchildren. So he’s not on the edge of the chair waiting to hear From me but this whole crisis makes me want to check in on him and that’s a good thing.
My oldest brother had a s t r o ke And that is a bigger deal than the censored kind.
pretty normal around here.
I'm at Edisto beach this weekend. Lots of social distancing here on the sand. The closest anyone got to me was 100 feet. Nice to get away from my city for a couple of days where everyone has seemingly bought all the tp and frozen goods. Then back to the grind Monday. I'm a handyman, Carpenter, lawn Care small business owner, and calls haven't stopped coming in yet. So that's good. I anticipate it happening soon though. If it does and it is sustained for a long while I think I'll load my canoe and do a long River trip. Stay healthy my Dawg community!
I'm down on the Forgotten Coast of FL and the Pompano are just starting their Spring Run. Apparently they're not aware of the travel bans.
What a great thread that has given me a couple laughs and most importantly reminded me and i imagine all of us of our shared humanity.
We played a family card game last night of Oh Shucks. Thursday we bought a month of food.
We are self quarantined for at least two weeks because my wife was exposed. The silver lining is that sadly we dont often spend as much family time together with so many activities and work going on, but we will over the next two weeks.
While i wish it didnt take a virus, I'm still saying thanks to our God for restoring a bit of humility and humanity in us humans. Ive long said that we will start seeing our commonality instead of our differences when aliens attack and i think God has given us a lesser but still serious foe that is uniting us. I hope all ya'lls families are safe.
And, I've written a historical fiction book about a guy who goes back in time to 1492 in Maryland and gets down to the Bahamas to meet up with Columbus. Its about 500 pages long but i haven't published it. If any of you want to read it in the downtime we have, DM me and I'll send you a copy. Your feedback would be appreciated if you read it.
Foolishness. We will now definitely see a spike over the next two weeks, due to the fact our idiotic country decided the best way to protect themselves from getting sick was to mass assemble at every grocery store in the country.
I went this morning to get some greek yogurt. They were nearly sold out of fresh meat, and zero frozen veggies, paper products, pasta, rice, bleach, or bottled waters. I guess these maroons think their faucets are going to run dry.
Oddly enough, I guess planning for a fever wasn’t on many people’s panic list. Kroger still had an abundance of ibuprofen, aleve, and aspirin. SMH!!!
I'm on mandatory work from home for the next 2 weeks. My son is out of school for the same amount of time. It should get interesting here.
Also if anybody is interested my church is hosting our service online tomorrow at 11am. Just go to athenschurch.com.
Supposedly, in Nicaragua, there have yet to be any cases. Only us and El Salvador have avoided it so far. It has me concerned though because I'm planning to go to the US in early June for the first time in 2 years to see my young grand daughter. El Salvador announced yesterday that they were closing their borders to all foreigners. I don't really think Nicaragua will do that but I'm concerned about getting home if I leave. If I arrived here with so much as a sniffle, I could be refused entry and I have a wife and daughter here. Decision time coming but I've got some time to see how things play out between now and then.
That's a tough one. I don't know what I'd do in that situation. Also, probably not seen to be there yet because I'd assume they haven't done much testing? Either way, stay healthy, good luck with decision, and if you get stuck and find yourself in North Carolina hit me up.
That's why I said "supposedly". 🙄Pretty "third world" here.
