Best Films of the 90's
The other thread (Best Films of the Past 20 Years) generated a good discussion, so I thought some of you might like to continue on. I've changed the format slightly, hopefully for the better. Please give us your top picks, personal favorites, overrated/underrated, or whatever else you'd like to add to the conversation. I'll save my own comments for the individual "year in review" posts to come.

Comments
For foreign language films if you've never seen Das Boot (The Boat) its an awesome Submarine movie from the German perspective.
Released in 1981, but yes, absolutely, great movie.
EDIT: If you've never seen Jurgen Prochnow's self-parody of his role in Super Troopers, it's priceless.
My bad, I watched it in the 90s as a kid so guess that's were the disconnect was.
Next thread should be "worst movies". That would be fun.
Your list pretty much sums it up... it may be listed already but didn't see it but The Matrix came out in 98 or 99, I think. Definitely one of my favs
This movie came out in 98 and I thought it was creepy good...
To describe this movie, I'd say it's The Matrix meets The Truman Show. It's dark and grimey-ish but good.
That would be a good thread! For the 1990's, The Island of Dr. Moreau immediately comes to mind.
Yes- absolutely! That should be on the list.
Amazing how good films can fall through the cracks in this process. I expect other forum members will find many more!
Pulp Fiction is a fantastic movie.
Yes- definitely in the mix for best film of the decade.
If not the best, certainly the coolest.
Pulp Fiction IS great. Personally, I think all of Tarantino's films kick ass. One people usually don't list is "Jackie Brown". It came out in 97 and is super good. Another one of his good ones, "Reservoir Dogs", came out in 92.
Adding to the list of "fell through the cracks." Keep 'em coming!
Not a huge movie guy so haven't a lot of those, but Fargo and Pulp Fiction were the best of the ones I saw.
Ooh, just thought of another one of the best from the 90's. Came out in 93...
