Kirby Smart: Football stoppage will 'affect quarterbacks more than anything'
Georgia football coach Kirby Smart shared some insight on how Jamie Newman is coming along, but he added the quarterback position will be affected most by sports stoppage

The offensive line would have to be the second most affected group. Not only will the Dawgs have changes at every position except possibly center, there is the matter of Cleveland regaining his academic eligibility in much less than ideal academic circumstances. If he was having trouble with grades with the multitude of academic support staff available to players before the virus shut everything down, he is going to be exponentially challenged working online.
I can guarantee that Smart is working with Cleveland in that challenging area called academics. But the standards are the standards, they apply to everyone. The offensive line is up there on the bucket list, I do agree. Monken and Luke will be working very closely together. It's all about the well-oiled machine in football. Let us hope this virus runs its course sooner than later. Until then...enjoy chalk talk and phone one-on-ones with Coach Smart and staff.
