    Sankey: “I’ve been careful to say my focus is on preparing to kickoff the season come Labor Day weekend,” Sankey said. “I can’t guarantee that, and no one can guarantee that. Yet I’m going to fulfill that responsibility, and I think that’s important for a few reasons." That he dovetails with the factor of other students needing to be on campus as well. Can football resume without them? He is actually leaving it pretty much up to the "medical and scientific authority."

    The autonomy of five splitting away from the FBS and NCAA? Not likely. He references 2104 when the Power 5 were given the license to write some of their own rules. Am not sure why this was inserted into the story, except to say that this is always latent. Is Labor Day the magic date? Stay tuned.
