So, the CFP management committee has declared students must be back on campus before football can resume. That will be when? June, July, August, September, October, November, December of this year. What they are saying is similar to what some are saying about this darn virus, "We must have a vaccine, before we can open up the economy again". Football may not be played this season, at all.

I think we all figured that to be the deciding factor. I agree. No students, no season start.
When it is opened....I still believe Newman will be the starting QB for this season. He is here only one year and has a proven track record. I am not saying he won't have to compete but that his experience, skill-set and leadership abilities will place him at the top. IMO
Anyone who thinks Kirby would or should name Newman the #1 out the gate doesn't know Kirby. He will make every player earn his PT, period. It's important to him and to the team that no one is given anything.
