The SEC had a record 15 players taken in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Four SEC schools had multiple players taken in the first round. The rest of the country had just four combined. Georgia was one of those four SEC schools as Andrew Thomas was the No. 4 overall player taken by the New York Giants and

Tougher competition will better prepare you for the NFL, and I think most of these recruits know this. Besides, if a recruit thinks it's too tough for him to play in the SEC, then it's best he go elsewhere.

Clemson is the only team that has their ticket punched to the playoffs before the season starts playing in the ACC which is a stretch to be considered a power five conference in football. Dabo would be nuts not to pitch to recruits the simple fact that they can come to Clemson, be guaranteed of playing on the playoff stage, and reduce their chance of injury by playing not much more than half the regular season against mid-major competition week-in and week-out.

There is something easier about playing for Clemson or Ohio St. Both teams out recruit every other team in their conference every year and it's not even close.

Go to Penn St, Michigan, FSU or Miami and you get to watch that other team win the conference championship every year. Go to Ohio St or Clemson and you're guaranteed to leave with a few conference Championship rings and make the playoff almost every year. Some kids will like the easier path...

Go to Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Florida or Auburn and you get to see NFL caliber competition in every conference game and the talent on your team is not exponentially superior to every other team on your conference schedule. Some kids will see the value of playing against superior talent week in and week out. They watch the NFL draft...

You can't blame Swinney or the coach at OS for selling what essentially amounts to a built in guarantee of winning their conference and an almost automatic playoff berth every year. It's the only thing that they have over the SEC...

Yeah sounds like Korey Foreman let the cat(pun intended) out of the bag. Awfully funny that Kirby brings this up right after his decommitment. The more and more I hear about Dabo, the more and more he becomes a sleezeball, inching up there towards Mullen territory. He also is beginning to sound a lot like Spurrier, every chance he gets, he takes a dig at UGA. Don't understood why. Guess he's still sour from the loss the last time we played them.

UGA is a tough school to play for! SEC tough! NFL is all about it!! What is the problem here? It has been this way for decades. So many very good teams in a split conference. Clemsen is an auto for top slot in the lesser ACC. I won't deny that Dabo has them prepped pretty well. But they were no match for LSU, the SEC powerhouse in 2019. UGA is getting there and may now be there...if we had a season to prove it?
