Honeymoon advice

Alright, need a little help. Fiancé and I get married August 8th. We are worried that our passports aren’t going to make it to us on time due to the virus for a Bahamas honeymoon.

with that said, we are preparing to have to go somewhere in the US or a US territory.

please leave any advice or recommendations for beach/tropical places we could go without a passport.

If you are looking for beaches, Destin! The beaches are great, they have a lot of options for food, and plenty of great places to drink.

I’m with Lowcountry on this one. Hilton Head has been a family favorite of ours for decades. You can ride bikes, fish, golf, eat at good restaurants, and enjoy the beaches.

If you make it out of your room.....

Fly to St. Thomas which has great nightlife and restaurants. If you want something more secluded you can take a boat to St. John.

I second the U.S. Virgin Islands. St. Thomas is the biggest, lots to do, plenty of quality resorts. St. John's is a little nicer, quieter, more exclusive. I've also been to St. Croix and it has a wide range of options. You get what you pay for.
Hawaii is hard to beat. The only place I've been was Maui. I think the Four Seasons is probably the nicest resort on the island but we stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani and it was amazing. Was about 15 years ago so no idea if the scene has changed. Plenty of friends and family have been to Kaua'i, Oahu, and the Big Island, and I've never heard from anyone who didn't enjoy their stay.
Also Puerto Rico is much nicer than folks realize, but I'm not sure if they've recovered from the hurricanes a couple of years back. Might be able to get a good deal, just need to do extra homework and work with a travel agent you trust to get assurances of what the current situation is.
If you don't want to leave the mainland and you'd like to get out of the southeast, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard are beautiful and memorable places to visit.

Wife and I drove highway 1 in California in a convertible. Flew into LA and made our way to Napa. Best thing about wine country is you’re the only honeymooners so everyone buys you wine to celebrate you. We took 3 days to drive up with stops in Santa Barbara, and Carmel. Spent a week in Napa then flew out of San Fran

congrats @Copedawg16! Not sure what you’re looking for exactly, but I’ll second @AnotherDawg and his mention of The Big Island. It’s like an entire country, 8 dif climate zones, great resorts, spots in the Volcano Park where you’re the only people for miles around and everything in between.

I've been to Hawaii, it was nice. Expensive and a long flight. But it's American, which is easy. HHI is cool, my sister has a house there. No experience with US Virgin Islands, though they'd be my top choice based on your criteria and no passport. There or Puerto Rico.

A slightly similar but different option would be Bar Harbor, Maine. Not tropical but beach/ocean.

You walk off your back porch onto the beach.....and someone to make a gourmet breakfast on the porch every morning.
