Nick Saban won most of his national championships with strong bruising running backs who could carry the work load. In 2009 Mark Ingram carried the football 271 times for a total of 1658 yards with 20 TDs. In 2011 Trent Richardson carried the ball 283 times for a total of 1679 yards with 24 TDs. In 2015 Derrick Henry carried the ball 395 for a total of 2219 yards with 28 TDs. Those are HW's type numbers and it was enough to make the dawgs champions in 1980, so there is a difference in Saban and Kirby's coaching philosophy.

It's the Rusty McCay Curse. As long as the Curse remains Georgia will never win another National Championship. Someone must cast a spell and break the Curse.
