Daniels missed most of last season with ACL injury...it is now likely he will become 2020 eligible.,,however, the ACL is still the issue here. I do not believe it has healed to the extent he could be at optimum performance? Jamie is ready! ACL is the bugbear of the QB. It generally means a brace and less mobility. But most all of us know this. Even if he does not suit, he could provide valuable "coaching" help to the starter. Daniels has three years eligibiilty.....Jamie....one and done.

I still believe Newman will be our starting QB day one. That is not a convenient assumption; rather, it is the intelligent one. I too believe Daniels will not be at his best at the start of the season, with or without a waiver.
