It may, very well, fall of the rails, but it seems like Wilson may have some dog in him. He’s pitched a hell of a game so far.
Thinking the exact same. "I'm not pitching against Kershaw, Kershaw is pitching against me" attitude.
From the few years that I caught in professional baseball, I saw and learned some filthy stuff (as well as what each guy did to make it filthy.) Arm angle, pressure points, which side of the rubber the ball is delivered from etc... Imo as a hitter the 3 toughest pitches to barrel up consistently were a good change, hard slider, and a 2 seam fastball with serious movement. Watching the game tonight Wilson has one of the best 2 seamers I've seen. If anyone breaks down film, look how bad these LA hitters are off. Ridiculous movement.
this is reminding me of why i dont watch baseball
Funny. This is reminding me why I love postseason baseball. When one hitter can change everything, the tension. Love it.
Lol, it is very stressful.
Freaking terrible strike call leads to Acuna getting hurt. So mad.
Freeman is the epitome of a professional hitter. Period.
Somewhere there’s a former poster saying “I told you getting runners on base is more important than HR’s”. Great inning so far!
Amazing how in just the past 15 years literally EVERYBODY coming out of the pen ( specifically for the top teams) are hitting 99-100 consistently... If u know it's coming, 100 is very hitable as long as you have a short compact swing. But just like Ozzie just did; was behind on the FB, but the pitcher speeds his bat up by hanging a 90 mph slider. ABC baseball. We better get ready for the Rays.
Rare to find a hitter of his talent combined with the power. It’s why he’s the MVP.
huge inning here. Let’s goooo!!
I want 10 more. This inning.
Exactly right. He has a perfect swing. Short. Compact. Straight to the ball. He never looks bad or fooled really because unlike Ozzie, Acuna etc he doesn't have the leg kick. Therefore very little head movement. Doesn't have to worry about getting his front foot down in time (while also keeping his balance centered.) No doubt 1st ballot Hall of Famer.
I get so pissed that they pulled him at like 80 pitches when he was dominating...its a 60 game season.
Why do they pull a pitcher so early now? I remember guys going 110 pitches into the 8th.
Now the Braves can’t throw strikes.
It just seems so **** now
The home plate umpire is having a bad night.
