Martin Short is brilliant and under appreciated. Granted, humor is a matter of personal taste and he doesn't appeal to everyone, but the fact that all of those famous comedians agreed to appear on his show over the years is proof of how highly regarded he is by his peers.
I also loved his Ed Grimley character.
